I recently found a book on the history of Charlie Chaplin and was fascinated with the 1920's style of dressing which was so well complimented with the rich texture and sepia quality of the photographs from that era. This illustration is an attempt at recreating that same vintage feeling of soft light, worn texture and sepia colours.

I have always dreamed what it would be like to surf in outer space. This image is probably the closest I'll ever get to realizing that dream. I love the different forms and colours that nebulae produce, I created my own sort of nebula by incorporating some photos of clouds that I took and overlaying different colours and gradients. If space surfing doesn't occur in my lifetime I'd just be happy with thought of the next generation looking back at this illustration and laughing at how wrong I got it.
